In short – a powerful, lightweight and thin extra heavy feeder rod with incredible casting capabilities, a very versatile rod with a wide range of weights.
The rod was designed to work with heavy feeders over fairly long distances. Using a powerful long cast, this rod can work with medium-capacity feeders of 120 grams + feed. When testing, I was able to easily cast 80-90 grams feeders with heavy and overly wet river groundbait at a distance of 80-90 meters, and 100-110 grams feeders easily fly to 65 meters, while the rod casts VERY ACCURATELY at a landmark, I would even say phenomenally accurately. Also, a slight overload on the casting weight is possible – I repeatedly overloaded the rod during testing and I can say with confidence that it easily copes with 120-140 grams feeders at a distance of 40-45 meters.
Often, owners of this rod use it for flat feeder fishing – the Preston L size feeder weighing 60-80 grams easily flies to over 110 meters using a 0.25 mm main line.
For the balance of the tackle and comfortable work with heavy weights, I made a handle of sufficient length on this rod – 480 mm, with a rear grip diameter of 27 mm. Realizing that the rod will mainly be used with large big pit reels, I have equipped it with a reliable 17-size Fuji TVS screw down reel seat that securely locks the reel foot. The butt ring is 30 mm in size for good braid and line flow and to prevent rod wobbling when winding in the braid. Quivertips are fitted with 5 mm guides to work with thick braids and lines, and for large shock leader knots.
