A powerful and slim extra-heavy feeder with incredible casting capabilities for fishing with flat and method feeders. The rod allows performing long-distance power chucks and forcefully playing huge trophy carps without letting them go into snags, under a platform, into the adjacent sector, or reeds. I believe that you should control the fish when playing, not vice versa with fish swimming at will; you should always be able to stop it and turn it around.
We are accustomed to using powerful and very thick extra-heavy feeder rods for this type of fishing, however, this rod we managed to make not only powerful but also slim and elegant. The butt section diameter is 14.2 mm. That is, this is not a "cudgel", but a rod with which you get incredible pleasure from the work of the blank when playing fish.
Using long-distance power casting, this rod can work with flat feeders of 80 grams (for example, Preston L 80g or Preston XL 45-60g, ESP Large 56g). While testing, I was able to cast a Preston L 80g feeder at 120 meters using a rigid Shimano Technium 0.255 mm main line. More than once I have witnessed how my friends, who possess good casting technique, achieved even longer distances. Not all 4.2 m rods by other brands can do what Exterity Hardcore can do and I'm very proud of that!
To enable long-distance power casting, I made a long handle on this rod – 480 mm, with a rear grip diameter of 27 mm. Realizing that the rod will mainly be used with large big pit reels, I have equipped it with a reliable 17-size Fuji TVS screw down reel seat that securely locks the reel foot. The butt ring is 30 mm in size for a good line and shock leader knot flow. All quivertips are fitted with 5 mm guides to work with thick braids and lines, and for large shock leader knots.
